MDRN / Movement

Is two sessions a week enough?

The question is almost never "what is optimal". It is "what still happens in the week the boiler breaks". Those are different questions and only one of them decides how this goes.

The arithmetic nobody does

Four sessions a week that you keep for three weeks is twelve sessions. Two sessions a week that you keep for a year is a hundred. The plan that wins is not the one with the better week, it is the one with the better year, and ambition at the start is the commonest way to lose it.

What two sessions has to contain

All six movement patterns, spread across the two. That is the whole requirement. Three to five movements per session, a couple of sets each, and a different pattern leading each time so the freshness moves around.

When to add a third

Not when you feel motivated. When two has survived a holiday, a cold and a bad week, without you thinking about it. Adding on top of something that still takes effort to remember is how people end up back at zero, and it is why MDRN will not let a plan advance on the calendar alone.

Nothing on this page is medical advice and none of it is a diagnosis. MDRN is a general wellness product. If anything in your health picture needs attention, talk to a clinician.
