MDRN / Library / Daily Three
One walk: one of the three things that happen every day
It is the only thing in this product that asks for no equipment, no skill, no clothes and no decision. It is also the one most likely to survive a week where everything else falls over, which is the only property that matters in a daily habit.
Needs: Nothing at all
How to do it
Attach it to something that already happens. When the laptop shuts, one lap outside before anything else. The trigger is doing the work, not the intention.
- The cue your plan prints
- When you shut the laptop, one lap outside before anything else.
- What counts
- One. Any length. Outside.
What goes wrong
Three faults, each written as the fix.
- A length is set
- No length. One lap, around the block, to the end of the road and back. A walk with a number on it is a walk that gets skipped on the day the number looks long.
- It waits for weather
- Two minutes in the rain is still a walk, and the plan asks for it every day including the ones nobody would choose.
- It is scheduled rather than attached
- A time in a calendar is a thing to miss. A thing that follows another thing you already do is a thing that happens.
Where it sits
The second of the three for most plans. It is replaced by protein at the second meal when appetite is suppressed, because on that answer the protein matters more.
Why only three
Because three is what survives the worst day of the month, and a floor that only works on a good day is not a floor. A safety answer can swap one of the three for another or change its cue; nothing can make it four.
The longer version
- Is two sessions a week enough?Yes, if two is what survives a bad week. The honest case for a smaller plan, and why four days often produces less than two.
Nothing on this page is medical advice and none of it is a diagnosis. MDRN is a general wellness product. If anything in your health picture needs attention, talk to a clinician.
Want this put in order for you?
